Relive old times at Nautical Quarter Huizen

The former port of Huizen has been transformed into an impressive Nautical Quarter harking back to the days of yesteryear, Stroll around the area and be transported back to a charming Zuiderzee village, complete with a school, waterside café and 19th-century town hall. The Mayor's residence, doctor's, grocer's and fish market all add to the allure, as do the boathouses across the water.

If you are a lover of all things nautical, then you should definitely have a short stroll to De Botterwerf. Here you can see the beautiful historical Botter boats. De Botterwerf organises several events per year to let the public experience the beautiful historical Botter boats, so make sure to check this at the local Tourist Information Center (VVV Huizen).
