Relive the old times
In recent years there has been a lot of hard work at the head of the old Port in Huizen to transform this area into a Nautical Center. When you're walking on this special location you find yourself in an old village of bygone times. The appearance of the buildings is reminiscent of a small village school, a cafe on the harbor and a town hall from 1860. You walk past the mayor's house next to the doctor's house, the old grocery store and fish market. On the other side of the water you can find several boathouses. The Lime ovens and the Botter Yard make it complete. In September 2012 all buildings were completed and the last restaurant opened its doors. Men and woman can visit SpaMedica ™ Els van Gogh to go for SPA treatments and skin improvement. You will find the Fletcher Hotel 'Nautical Quarter' with 80 rooms, J Restaurant & RIVA Wine Lounge, the place for fine wines and perfect wine / food combinations, the lime ovens which are an excellent event location for celebrations, parties and meetings, the Shore Club, a place to enjoy a nice lunch and dinner, Dickens, an exciting pancake restaurant with a nod to then & now and Cornelisz, a dining and drinking occasion for every moment for everyone, to complete the offer of the Nautical Quarter.
Come taste what the Nautical Quarter has to offer you and enjoy in a historic Huizen the allure of contemporary time ...
