On the border of Huizen and Naarden

Hiking and much more fun!

Most kids love amusement parks. The combination of a walk along the Waterkeringpad, visiting a pancake restaurant and Speelpark (playgarden) Old Valkeveen guarantees a special day out for the whole family. The starting point for this day is best reached by car or bicycle. Playpark Old Valkeveen has a large (free) car park. From here you can follow Waterkeringpad to the west. The Waterkeringpad runs between Amsterdam Central Station and Huizen. From Old Valkeveen to Naarden is 3.5 km. The last piece carries on the ramparts of Naarden. Endpoint is the splitting Amersfoortsestraatweg - Eneriestraat, Naarden. There you can turn around and walk back, or just first visit Naarden-Vesting.

In the beautiful old streets there are numerous catering establishments where the lunch is good. Back to Speelpark Old Valkeveen the fun for the juvenile begins. The park is small but varied with its pedal boats, train, mini rollercoaster and old-timers. Of course there are exciting slides, trampolines and there is a real pirate ship. For the little ones there is also a ball pit and an indoor climbing paradise.

After a busy day, you can sit down on the spacious terrace of Pancakes Restaurant 't Vossenhol. In the period from April to September, the restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 19:30. From October to March open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
